Ford expands “Mustang Stories” contest to include independently developed short films by partnering with Filmaka, a global digital entertainment studio and celebrated online creative community.
“Mustang Stories” films will be shown each week during episodes of NBC’s Knight Rider TV series, which debuts on Wednesday, September 24 (8 p.m. EDT) and features the Ford Shelby GT500KR. The short films can be viewed at www.the2010mustang.com.
The 2010 Ford Mustang debuts at the L.A. Auto Show in November.

Ashley Force, driver of the Castrol GTX Mustang, made it to the final round and was the runner up in the NHRA race in Las Vegas, Nev. Force jumped four spots to first place in the standings and is the first woman to ever lead the Funny Car standings after an event.
Carl Edwards was the top Ford driver in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race in Phoenix, Ariz., finishing fourth in his No. 99 Fusion. Edwards remains ninth in the standings

Of that total, 571 units will be available for U.S. customers thus equaling the 1,571-unit production run of the original Shelby GT500KR. The remainder of the units will be for countries that did not receive 2008 models.
